Author Bio
Morgan Baden’s debut novel, The Hive (Kids Can Press, September 2019; co-written with bestselling author Barry Lyga), was named a Best Book of Fall 2019 by People Magazine and was called a “gripping, tense, action-packed thriller” by Booklist. She’s also the author of Daphne and Velma: The Dark Deception (Scholastic, July 2020) and Daphne and Velma: Buried Secrets (Scholastic, September 2022) and a contributing writer to Generation Wonder (Abrams, June 2022). Famous Anonymous (September 2025) marks the start of a new middle grade series from Holiday House; its sequel, Undercover Summer, hit stores in July 2026. When she’s not writing novels, Morgan’s creating content for her interactive nostalgia project, Teen Magazine Museum, which celebrates the iconic teen magazines of the 80s and 90s – and, more importantly, the girls who grew up reading them. Professional Bio
Morgan is an award-winning communications leader, with experience in internal communications, social media, storytelling, media relations, employee engagement, and content strategy. She currently serves as Vice President of Communications at Upstream USA and has extensive experience in the publishing, education, nonprofit, and finance industries. A frequent presenter and panelist at conferences and events, Morgan has also taught social media marketing at New York University and led a variety of writing workshops for teens and adults. She graduated from The College of New Jersey and now resides in New Jersey with her family. Outside of work, she’s an author of award-winning children’s books, including The Hive (a People Magazine Best Book of Fall 2019) and the middle grade series Famous Anonymous, and a content creator for her interactive nostalgia project, Teen Magazine Museum.
