Author Bio
Morgan Baden’s debut Young Adult novel, The Hive (co-written with her husband, bestselling author Barry Lyga), was named a Best Book of Fall 2019 by People Magazine and was called a “gripping, tense, action-packed thriller” by Booklist (Kids Can Press, September 2019). She’s the author of Daphne and Velma: The Dark Deception (Scholastic, July 2020) and Daphne and Velma: Buried Secrets (Scholastic, September 2022), and a contributor to Generation Wonder (Abrams, June 2022). In July 2023, she released Super Sweet Unicorn Club, a loving (and biting) homage to the iconic teen book series of the 80s & 90s. Famous Anonymous marks the start of a new middle grade series from Holiday House and hit stores in September 2025. Professional Bio
Morgan is an award-winning communications leader, with experience in internal communications, social media, storytelling, media relations, employee engagement, and content strategy. She currently serves as Vice President of Internal Communications at Upstream USA and has extensive experience in the publishing, education, nonprofit, and finance industries. A frequent presenter and panelist at conferences and events, Morgan has also taught social media marketing at New York University and led a variety of writing workshops for teens and adults. She graduated from The College of New Jersey and now resides in New Jersey with her family. Outside of work, she’s an author of award-winning children’s books, including The Hive (with co-author Barry Lyga, named a People Magazine Best Book of Fall 2019) and the new middle grade series Famous Anonymous (September 9, 2025 from Holiday House).
