Author Bio

Morgan Baden’s debut Young Adult novel, The Hive (Kids Can Press, September 2019) (co-written with her husband, the bestselling novelist Barry Lyga) was named a Best Book of Fall 2019 by People Magazine and was called a “gripping, tense, action-packed thriller” by Booklist. She’s also the author of Daphne and Velma: The Dark Deception (Scholastic, July 2020) and Daphne and Velma: Buried Secrets (Scholastic, September 2022), and contributed a short story in the YA super hero anthology Generation Wonder (Abrams, June 2022). Her latest book, Super Sweet Unicorn Club, embodies the retro fun of the iconic teen book series of the 80s and 90s and was released in July 2023. A bestselling ghostwriter, she previously taught courses at New York University's Center for Publishing and has led many writing-focused workshops for teens and adults. Professional Bio

Morgan is an award-winning communications leader, with experience in internal communications, social media, storytelling, media relations, employee engagement, and content strategy. She currently serves as Vice President of Internal Communications at Upstream USA; previous roles include serving as Head of Executive Communications at Acumen and Vice President of Corporate Communications at Scholastic, and she has extensive experience in the education, parenting, and finance industries. A frequent presenter and panelist at conferences and events, Morgan has also taught social media marketing at New York University’s Center for Publishing program and led a variety of writing workshops for teens and adults. She graduated from The College of New Jersey and now resides in Maplewood, NJ, with her family. She is also an author of Young Adult fiction; her debut novel, The Hive, co-written with her husband Barry Lyga, was named a Best Book of the Fall 2019 by PEOPLE Magazine.
